Hello RV Friends,

My name is Karen. I’ve been camping my entire life beginning with tent camping until I was into my 40’s when Owen decided he had enough of rain and tents. So here I am in my 3rd RV since tent camping. From a 30′ TT to a 20′ TT to a 35′ 5th Wheel, my condo on wheels.

I enjoy hiking, scuba diving, pickleball and cooking/baking. I have a Culinary Arts degree, so I do know a little something about good cooking and baking. Some might think, who cooks and/or bakes in an RV. Well, many don’t but just as many do. Although it’s fun to experience the local food, it can get spendy and not always healthy. Whether you’re a weekend warrior or a full time RV’er cooking can be a challenge in a small kitchen but it can be made easy and is very rewarding as you get to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Besides, think of all the new people you meet once they smell that delicious aroma coming from your kitchen vent.

We’ll start with basic tried and true equipment and recipes. I’ll cover the equipment I use and how I use it. We’ll be making everything from easy meals to bread and full Holiday dinners (yes, that includes pies). Come on a journey with me to explore cooking and baking while RV’ing.
